History
Interior Design is my absolute passion.
My earliest childhood memories are obsessing over the use of furniture, space, texture, form, light and pattern in the house I grew up in.
Although being advised at an academic school in the early 90's 'that's not a career choice', then proceeded to an alternative degree in Design and Photography.
With life then dealing some very challenging and off course career cards over the years, I remained actively involved in Design and helping friends and colleagues with residential schemes and commercial spaces for over two decades.
The start of 2017 allowed for the transition away from commercial property and January 2019 allowed me to commit entirely to Interiors and establish the Verling studio.
Method
My approach is simple; I listen to you, I look at what you have to work with, what influences you and makes you happy, what your budget and aspirations are and then guide you to a solution that will give you the fulfillment in your home that you didn't realize could be achieved.
Itβs a great feeling to find the right bespoke solutions for all my clients, especially integrating items that they already own and learn to appreciate again, using their own personalities and filtering that into design, and creating rooms and atmospheres that sit right with both the architecture available and the people that live in the space.
My nigh 20 years of planning and development on a commercial scale also funds my expertise in terms of project management, liaising with architects, spatial planning, planning applications and dealing with Local Authorities.
I work with all budgets and on both commercial and residential projects.
